Dhananjay S defeated WIM Franco Valencia Angela (COL).

Chidvilash - Venkatesh: 1-0

Chidvilash Sai Surapaneni (2000) got a better position out of the English Opening and converted his positional advantage into a win against GM Venkatesh M R (2481).

The opening did not go well for Black. Thus, he had to play 15...f6 to keep control of the dark squares in front of his king. However, it was at the cost of blindsiding his own bishop at g7.

Duc Hoa - Srihari: 0-1

GM Duc Hoa Nguyen (VIE, 2365) blundered against Srihari L (2214).

The teenager had no trouble figuring out the win 44...Qa1+ 45.Kc2 Ra2 and White resigned.

The tournament is organized by Chhattisgarh Pradesh Shatranj Sangh from 19th to 28th September 2022 at Hotel Grand Imperia in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The ten-round Swiss league tournament has a time control of 90 minutes for 40 moves + 30 minutes with 30 seconds increment from move 1.
