Top four score 7/9

It was a very closely contested tournament as all top four finishers scored 7/9 and remained undefeated. IM Himal Gusain won the tournament on tie-breaks. Before this event, Himal took part in 5th Paytakht Cup 2023 where he also remained unbeaten, scored 6/9 to finish sixth according to tie-breaks.

A total of 144 players including 3 GMs, 7 IMs and a WIM took part from nine countries all over the world in Group A (>1800). The nine-day nine-round Swiss league Rating tournament was organized by Gilan Chess Association in Rasht, Iran from 12th to 20th February 2023. The time control of the tournament was 90 minutes + 30 seconds increment from move no.1.
