Daaevik Wadhawan perfect at Chinmaya Vidyalaya Delhi NCR Rating Schools 2025
Top seed IM Daaevik Wadhawan scored a perfect 9/9 to win Chinmaya Vidyalaya Delhi NCR Rating Schools 2025. Daaevik finished a whopping 1.5 points ahead of the competition. Vatsal Singla, Daksh Goyal, Aarav Kapoor and Atharv Vohra scored 7.5/9 each. They were placed second to fifth respectively according to tie-breaks. The total prize fund was ₹500000. The top three prizes were ₹50000 + trophy, ₹35000 and ₹25000 each. The five-day nine round Rating tournament was organized by and at Chinmaya Vidyalaya in Delhi from 1st and 5th November 2025. IM Daaevik Wadhawan made a perfect start by winning eight games in-a-row. He was the sole leader going into the last round. Vairaj Sogerwal and Madhavansh Mittal were the only two players trailing him by a full point at 7/8 each. Madhavansh lost to Daaevik and the latter became champion. Vivaan Chawla lost to Vatsal Singla who secured second place. Daksh Goyal defeated Vairaj to finish third. Only school students of Delhi and NCR (North Capital Region) were eligible to participate in this tournament.
A total of 328 players including an IM took part from various parts of the Delhi and NCR, and one from New Zealand. The five-day nine round Rating tournament was organized by and at Chinmaya Vidyalaya in Delhi from 1st and 5th November 2025. The time control of the event was 90 minutes + 30 seconds increment per move.
