Shreyas Royal secures his second GM-norm

"I think it's huge because to win any tournament at the age of 52 is just really amazing. This one is completely different level to the other successes I had this year. In many ways, it's probably my best ever result, because all the tournament that I have won were when I was in my prime as a player. It's completely different now, completely different challenge to play, when you are playing against someone younger than yourself. All the other competitors were basically much younger." - GM Michael Adams on where does this triumph rank among the tournaments he had won in the last ten years.

IM Shreyas Royal (ENG) once again made the most of his opportunity against GM Jules Moussard (FRA)

The Tournament Organizer - IM FST Malcolm Pein tweeted his joy

English GM Daniel Gormally's prediction came true

Anish Giri rightly tweeted - This man is a legend.
