Kishan Gangolli conquers his eighth AICFB National Championship

The top seed and defending champion - Kishan Gangolli (KAR) scored an unbeaten 7.5/9 to win 17th AICFB National Premier Championship for the Visually Challenged 2023-24. This is his eighth AICFB National title. Subhendu Kumar Patra (ODI) scored 7/9 to secure second place. Ashvin K Makwana (GUJ) was placed third with a score of 6.5/9. Kishan drew against both runner-up - Subhendu and Ashvin. The top three prizes were ₹35000, ₹25000 and ₹15000 along with a trophy each. This championship is the top most selection tournament for the Visually Challenged players in India. The top twelve finishers are selected to represent India in the upcoming Purple International Chess Festival for Visually Challenged 2024 slated to take place in Goa.
