The win also helped GM Koneru Humpy to have a full point lead, going into the last two rounds.
Sara - Humpy: 0-3
GM Koneru Humpy (2543) defeated IM Sara Khadem (ESP, 2449) for the second time in a Classical battle at this event.
Anna - Tingije: 1.5-1
GM Anna Muzychuk (UKR, 2535) drew her Classical battle against GM Tingjie Lei (CHN, 2552).
Armageddon
In an advantageous position, Tingjie made an unforced error 25...Rxf3 26.gxf3 shifted things completely in favor of Anna. Instead, 25...Bg4 would have maintained the firm grip for Black. The game continued 26...Bxh4 27.f4 and White went on to win the game.
Vaishali - Wenjun: 1.5-1
GM R Vaishali (2481) played a solid draw in the Ruy Lopez Berlin against the five-time Women's World Champion, GM Wenjun Ju (CHN, 2580).
Armageddon
Wenjun opted for the Berlin again in Armageddon. She deviated on 13th move when she played 13...c6 instead of 13...Bg5 which she played in the Classical.
Black completely ignored White's threats and played 32...bxa4? 33.f5+- Rxb2?? 34.fxe6 Rxc2 35.exf7+ Kg7 36.Rf1 Qe7 37.Rxg6+! and it's over. 32...Kg7 33.f5 Bxf5 34.Bxf5 h6 is what Black had to play to stay in the game.
