Samyak Dharewa wins 2nd Sansad Cup Chhindwara Rapid Rating Open 2025

FM Samyak Dharewa and Kartavya Anadkat scored an unbeaten 8/9 each at 2nd Sansad Cup Chhindwara Rapid Rating Open 2025. Samyak became champion on tie-breaks, Kartavya secured second place. Five players - Rudra Mahendra Dhole, FM Vaibhav Jayant Raut, Abhay Bandewar, Sumit Sikka and CM Aishwin Daniel scored 7.5/9 each. They were placed third to seventh respectively according to tie-breaks. The total prize fund of the tournament was ₹200000. The top three prizes were ₹25501, ₹20000 and ₹15000 along with a trophy each. The two-day nine round Rapid Rating Open tournament was organized by District Chess & Sports Welfare Association Chhindwara at New Punjab Lawn in Chhindwara, Rajasthan on 13th and 14th September 2025. This is Samyak's fourth overall, first rating tournament triumph of the year.

Six players - Rudra Mahendra Dhole, Kartavya Anadkat, FM Samyak Dharewa, Shubham Lakudkar, Abhay Bandewar and Shivansh Tiwari were the leaders 7/8, before the final round. Samyak defeated Shivansh to become the champion. Kartavya won against Shubham to secure second place. Abhay drew with Rudra and the latter finished third.

FM Samyak Dharewa scored an unbeaten 8/9, won the tournament on tie-breaks and gained 29.2 Elo rating points

A total of 281 players took part from all over the country. The two-day nine round Rapid Rating Open tournament was organized by District Chess & Sports Welfare Association Chhindwara at New Punjab Lawn in Chhindwara, Rajasthan on 13th and 14th September 2025. The time control of the event was 15 minutes + 10 seconds increment per move.
