Aardhya's third rating tournament triumph of the year
Top seed of the tournament, WCM Aaradhya Das was the sole leader 7.5/8, going into the last round. Ankita Sarkar was the only player trailing her by a half point at 7/8. Aaradhya defeated Aradhyaa Choudhuri to become a clear champion. Adrija Saha lost to Ankita and the latter finished second. Ekantika Sarkar suffered defeat aganst Sumedha Roy who claimed third place. Aaradhya is the reigning Tripura State Blitz Rating 2025 and State Amateur Rating 2025 champion.
A total of 64 players participated from various states across the country. The five-day nine-round Swiss league Rating tournament was organized by All Tripura Chess Association at NSRCC in Agartala, Tripura from 18th to 22nd April 2025. The time control for the event was 90 minutes + 30 seconds increment from move no.1.
