Mavens Chess Club is delighted to invite you to participate in the 2nd edition of the Mavens International Open Chess Championship 2026 to be held from 19th March to 22nd March 2026 at the Alx-The Piano Campus in Westlands, Nairobi, Kenya. This tournament is organized to promote competitive chess in the county and provide players with an opportunity to enhance their skills and ratings. Mavens Chess Club is excited to offer a well-structured event featuring the classical format in the Open and Ladies sections and the Rapid format in the Junior section. Invitation to another successful event
The Mavens Open continues to establish itself as a top-tier event on the international chess calendar, this year proudly backed by USD 15,000 in funding, with a top prize fund of USD 5,000. In line with the organizers' commitment to attracting elite participation and raising the competitive standard, Organizers are also pleased to offer complimentary accommodation to Grandmasters, International Masters, and Women's International Masters attending the event.
