Mayank Chakraborty wins Shri PR Dutta Memorial Rapid Rating 2026, Aakash Dalvi shines in Blitz
GM Mayank Chakraborty scored an unbeaten 8/9 points to win the Shri PR Dutta Memorial Rapid Rating Chess Tournament 2026. 6 players, including Mayank Chakraborty, Aditya Varun Gampa, Kaustuv Kundu, Aakash Sharadchandra Dalvi, Shaurya Chaudhary, and Mayank Pal, scored 8/9 points to finish in 1st to 6th place, respectively, according to tiebreak scores. The tournament was organised by Matrix Chess Academy, led by FA FT Prasenjit Dutta at Abhinav Global School, Dwarka, New Delhi, on 11th and 12th April. Aakash Sharadchandra Dalvi dominates in Blitz
Starting on the 7th rank, IM Aakash Sharadchandra Dalvi scored an unbeaten 8.5/9 points to win the Shri PR Dutta Memorial Blitz Rating Chess Tournament 2026. En route to this victory, Aakash scored a perfect 8/8 and drew his last round against Shankhadeep Maity. Rosh Jain, Shankhadeep Maity, Mayank Chakraborty, and Aaryan Varshney scored 8/9 points to secure 2nd to 5th positions, respectively.
