Sai Agni Jeevitesh wins double crown at SDM RCC ROTO-Lawyers Rapid and Blitz Cup

International Master Sai Agni Jeevitesh dominates at SDM RCC ROTO-LAWYERS International Fide Rated Chess Cup. It was a two-day event held on 31st January and 1st February, in Belthangady, Karnataka. IM Sai Agni Jeevitesh of Telangana won the Rapid Cup with a point lead, while the Blitz Cup with half point lead, scoring 9/10 and 11/13 respectively. In the rapid event, Kolla Bhavan and Mani Bharathy secured second and third place, while in blitz, Arul Anandh SPK and Lakshith B Salian secured second and third place. This event happens once a year!

SDM RCC ROTO-LAWYERS CUP happens once a year, and they are known for great hospitality and event management. Lunch, drinking water, snacks, tea, and coffee were completely free for all participants and accompanying people sponsored by the Bar Association of Belthangady. Also, another worth mentioning thing from the event was that the first 15 boards were DGT, and the live games can be seen below. On the first day of the event, the Rapid Cup was played with 10 rounds, and on the next day, the Blitz Cup took place. The event was successfully organised with an attractive prize money of ₹2,50,000 with almost 150 players taking part in the event.

IM Sai Agni Jeevitesh secured the first place in both events and won a total cash prize of ₹60,000!!

Kolla Bhavan scored 8/10 points to secure the second place in rapid on better tiebreaks than the remaining field, and he won a cash prize of ₹20000

Mani Bharathy also scored 8/10 points and secured third place

In the Blitz Cup again, Sai Agni Jeevitesh dominated the field and secured first place

Lakshith B Salian scored 10/13 to secure third place in the Blitz Cup
