IM Goutham Krishna H scored a perfect 9/9 to win the Future Chess Academy's FIDE-rated Open Rapid Chess Tournament 2026. Goutham started the event as the top-seeded and finished it in style with a perfect performance. 5 players scored 8/9 to secure 2nd to 6th places respectively, Arush A and Girinath P.D.S. had better tiebreak scores to claim 2nd and 3rd places. The tournament was organised by Future Chess Academy at Paramekkavu Vidyamandir, Thrissur, on 19th April 2026. Goutham Krishna H won 2 rating tournaments this year. He secured first place in both 35th and 37th RCC Blitz cups. Here in Thrissur, he dominated the field, scoring a perfect 9/9 after defeating Aadik Theophane Lenin in the last round.
