Ayaan Phutane and Nakshatra Gumudavelly are Karnataka State U-11 Champions
Ayaan Phutane scored an unbeaten 8.5/9 points to win the Karnataka State Under-11 State Championship 2026. Sragvidha S and Shreyansh Das scored 7.5/9 to finish in 2nd and 3rd place according to their tiebreak scores. In the Girls category, Nakshatra Gumudavelly scored an unbeaten 8/9 to emerge as the champion, while Saanvika NA and Kaushi Kulkarni secured 2nd and 3rd place. The Top seeds finish on Top
In both the Open and Girls categories, Ayaan and Nakshatra started the state championship as the top seed and finished the tournament remaining undefeated in the 1st place. Ayaan scored a perfect 8/8 and drew his last round against the runner-up Sragvidha S. In the Girls Category, Nakshatra drew her last round against Niyola Pinto.
A total of 163 kids took part in the state championship, the time control was 60 Minutes + 30 Seconds Increment. There were a total of 10 DGT boards to broadcast live games.
