Asian Continental Championship has concluded yesterday. India had a fruitful outing as GM Vidit Gujrathi and WIM Vaishali R clinched bronze medals in the classical championship. PM Narendra Modi congratulated Vaishali for her gold medal winning performance in the Blitz championship. A golden day for Indian chess!

Gold medalist WIM Vaishali R. and IM Padmini Rout have made India proud with their podium finish in the Asian Continental Blitz Championship.
The Prime Minister's office congratulated gold medal winner Vaishali in a tweet. This is a great sign for Indian chess players as the government has started recognizing the achievements.
