Sindarov - Praggnanandhaa

Sindarov made a nice rook sacrifice 34.Rxf7! Kxf7 35.Qh5+ now the counter-intuitive Ke7 would have been a better choice than 35...Kg8 36.Be6+ Kh7 37.Bf7 probably would have finished things sooner. With this loss, Praggnanandhaa lost both of his games against Sindarov at this event.

Leon Luke Mendonca avenged his earlier loss against Raunak Sadhwani at this event.

Match #23: PBG Alaskan Knights - Ganges Grandmasters: 3-0 (9-7)
In the battle of the World Champions, D Gukesh (PBG AK) drew against Vishy Anand (GG).
Gukesh - Anand

34...e3+?? presented an opportunity for White 35.Kg1+- Rxf4 36.Qxg6+ Qg7 37.Nh6+ Kh8 38.Qxd3?? Gukesh did a Giri. In a winning position, he found a way to give up his advantage and allow his opponent to get back in the game. On a serious note, 38.Qh5 would have maintained the advantage for White. However, it was not easy to find. 38...Qxg5+ 39.Kh1 Qxh6 40.Qd8+ Qf8 41.Qxf8+ Rxf8 42.Re2 and White got one more opportunity in the rook endgame.

White is winning the above rook endgame. It is fundamental. Which one should White push first - pawn or the king? Gukesh made the incorrect decision and the game ended in a draw. The miss did not affect the overall match outcome as PBG Alaskan Knights still went on to win the match.

Arjun - Keymer

Vincent Keymer (GG) made a questionable exchange sacrifice 30...Rxd3?! 31.Qxd3 Rf8? 32.Rag1+- Rf6 33.Rxg6! Rxg6 34.e5 Qh5 35.Rg5 Qh6 36.Qf5 and it's over as White's threats are overwhelming.
