The participation of 556 players resulted in as many as eleven players in the lead 7/8, before the final round. All of them had decisive results in Round 9. Lokesh N lost to IM Kaustuv Kundu, IM Kushagra Mohan defeated IM Senthil Maran K and Childvilash Sai Surapaneni lost to GM Venkatesh M R. Kaustuv became champion, Kushagra second and Venkatesh third. Every player with a 7/8 score who lost in the final round was placed outside of top ten because those who were at 6.5/8, won their game and surpassed them.

A total of 556 players including three GM and ten IMs took part from various parts of the country, one from Kenya and one from the USA in this one-day nine round Rapid Rating Open tournament. It was organized by BNKU Foundation at Icon Public School in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh on 27th October 2024. The time control of the event was 15 minutes + 5 seconds increment per move.
