IM Aronyak Ghosh (Eastern Railway), IM Nitin S (Southern Railway) and FM Ram Prakash (Northern Railway) were the leaders 5/6, heading into the final round. Nitin drew with Aronyak, Mitrabha defeated Ram. GM Sayantan Das (Metro) lost to GM Diptayan Ghosh (Eastern Railway). Aronyak became the winner, Diptayan second and Nitin third.
A total of 85 players including 13 GMs and 17 IMs represented various railway divisions of Indian Railways across the country in this four-day seven-round Swiss League non-rating individual tournament. The event was organized by WCR Sports Association at Railway Stadium Basketball Court in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh from 25th to 28th July 2024. The time control of the event was 90 minutes + 30 seconds increment from move no.1.
