Arjun draws against Vidit, shares lead with Vokhidov and Abdusattorov

by Devansh Singh - 11/06/2026

After 4 rounds of play at the UzChess Cup Masters 2026, top-seeded Nodirbek Abdusattorov is co-leading with Arjun Erigaisi and Shamsiddin Vokhidov. In the 3rd round, there was only one decisive result where Shamsiddin defeated Madamiov. He continued his good run to score his second consecutive win in the 4th round against Nikolas Theodorou. In another important result of the 4th round, Yakubboev gave Madaminov his 2nd loss of the event. Photo: UzChess Cup

Abdusattorov survives a scare!

Nodirbek Abdusattorov was in big trouble against Ian Nepomniachtchi; the position was objectively lost, but Abdusattorov showed his fighting spirit and resilience to hold the game. There was a funny incident that happened at the end of the game. Have a look at it.

Arjun Erigaisi vs. Vidit Gujrathi

Arjun and Vidit are the only Indian players taking part in the Masters section, and when they sat against each other on the board, it was an exhibition of solid chess. The game ended in a draw after 46 moves.

Arjun Erigaisi vs. Vidit Gujrathi (0.5-0.5)

Nikolas Theodorou vs. Shamsiddin Vokhidov

It was an even game between Theodorou and Vokhidov, where Theodorou blundered and allowed a mating attack on his king. Can you find the best sequence just the way Vokhidov did?
