In an incredibly sad and shocking turn of events, the Charlotte Chess Club made an official announcement on 20th October, stating that Grandmaster Daniel Naroditsky has passed away at the age of 29. Known to millions of Chess fans worldwide, Daniel was an exceptionally strong speed chess player, an amazing chess coach, a very popular chess content creator, and a world-renowned chess commentator. It was a Black day for the Chess World, and all of the chess community was very emotional upon receiving the news of his passing.
