Celebrating this wonderful occasion, today 20th July we are organizing the very special Khelo Chess India Blitz tournament at the ChessBase India Chess Club, Indore. With a total prize fund of Rs. 150000, beautiful trophies and medals for the winners, what better way to spend your evening than playing chess in this awesome setting from 5-7 PM! Celebrating International Chess Day with a Blitz tournament

On 20th July 1924, 99 years ago from today, FIDE was born. This momentous occasion in chess history is celebrated as the International Chess Day! The 5th World Champion Max Euwe was the first President of FIDE. This day is meant to celebrate chess in all it's beautiful forms - what better way to do it with a tournament!

The vibrant Indore ChessBase India Chess Club community, where we are holding the Khelo Chess India Blitz tournament.\

The Khelo Chess India Blitz tournament will take place at the Phoenix Citadel Mall, Indore - also hosting the ChessBase India Chess Club. From 5-7 PM IST, a blitz tournament will take place at the 1st Floor, in front of Geetanjali Salon!

The total prize fund of the tournament is Rs. 15,000!

Schedule and Prize structure

The players are required to report at the tournament venue by 4:45 PM IST. There will be a total of 7 rounds played, followed by the prize distribution ceremony. The champion will receive a cash prize of Rs. 2500 with a gorgeous trophy! The top 3 players in Under-8, Under-10 and Under-12 age categories will receive medals. Top 3 female players and veteran players will also receive prizes!

We have kept a minimal entry fee of Rs. 100 for this tournament. The registration process is completely online - just go fill out this entry google form:
