Goutham Krishna beats a GM again
The 34th National Under-12 Open champion, Goutham Krishna H is seizing every opportunity that is heading his way. He defeated his second GM of the event - GM Marat Dzhumaev (UZB). He will face the legendary Pole, GM Michal Krasenkow in the final round. The 12-year-olds Goutham and Ethan Vaz are the only untitled players at 7.5/9 each.

Aravindh - Volodar
GM Volodar Murzin's (2554) response against GM Aravindh Chithambaram's (2607) Advance Caro-Kann Defence was not the best choice. However, Black managed to equalize until he incorrectly capture a pawn in the middlegame.

The best way to capture the d4-pawn is to take it with the queen 22...Qxd4. Instead, Black self-pinned his knight 22...Nxd4 23.Rd1 Qd7 made things worse. 23...Na4 would have still kept things going. 24.Qg2 Rd8 25.Qe4 Nc4 and then White played a fantastic move.

26.Nxc4? allows Black to equalize Nf3+ 27.Qxf3 Qxd1+ 28.Kg2 Qxf3+ 29.Kxf3 Rd4 and Black is not going to lose the game. Thus 26.Ned5! Aravindh once again showed why he is the stronger player of the two and displayed fantastic understanding of the position. 26...exd5 27.Qxd4 Nb6 28.e6! slowly dismantling Black's position. 28...Qe7 29.Re1 Rd6 30.Qe5 Nc4 31.Qe2 b5 32.Qd3 White did not rush into capturing on f7, instead forced his opponent to take the e6-pawn. 32...fxe6 33.Qxg6+ Qg7 34.Qe8+ Qf8 35.Qxh5 everything is falling apart for Black and White is winning.
